1.江戶日本橋(えどにほんばし)

東海道の起点である江戸日本橋を行き交う人混みを手前に、江戸城とはるか遠くの富士山を描いています。日本橋は、江戸時代における商業の中心地であり、交通の要所でした。

1.Edo Nihonbashi
It depicts Edo Castle and Mt. Fuji in the distance, with the crowds of people passing through Edo Nihonbashi, the starting point of the Tokaido, in the foreground. Nihonbashi was the center of commerce and transportation during the Edo period.


2.江都駿河町三井見世略圖(こうとするがちょうみついみせりゃくず)

江都駿河町とは現在の日本橋室町。三井見世とは越後屋三井呉服店、現在の日本橋三越百貨店です。凧が上がっている様子と屋根の上で作業する瓦職人が描かれています。

2.KotoSuruga MitsuiMise Strategy Plan
It depicts Edo Nihonbashi, the starting point of the Tokaido, and the crowds of people passing by, in the foreground, and Edo Castle and Mt. Fuji in the distance.

3.東都駿䑓(とうとするがだい)

神田駿河台は武家屋敷が多い町でした。この地域は高台に位置し、富士山の美しい眺望が広がっていました。武家や商人が行き交う様子と、坂道や川などの江戸の風景と、見下ろすように遠方の富士が描かれています。

3.TotoSurugadai
Kanda Surugadai was a town with many samurai residences. This area was located on a hill and had a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. It depicts samurai and merchants coming and going, Edo scenery such as slopes and rivers, and Mt. Fuji in the distance looking down.
 

4.東都浅草本願寺(とうとあさくさほんがんじ)

浅草本願寺は1657年の明暦の大火により、神田明神下から浅草へ移転しました。浅草本願寺や周辺の風景が描かれています。大屋根に登る瓦職人を極端に小さく描いています。

4.Toto Asakusa Honganji
Asakusa Honganji Temple was relocated from Kanda Myojin-shita to Asakusa due to the Great Meireki Fire of 1657. It depicts Asakusa Honganji Temple and the surrounding scenery. The tile craftsman climbing onto the large roof is depicted extremely small.
