5.本所立川(ほんじょたてかわ)
当時の墨田区立川周辺は材木問屋が多くありました。立川は運河の堅川のことで、現在の両国千歳辺りに位置しています。現場で作業する木職人の姿が描かれています。
5.Honjo Tachikawa
At that time, there were many lumber wholesalers around Tachikawa, Sumida Ward. Tachikawa is the Katakawa canal, located around present-day Chitose in Ryogoku. It depicts a woodworker working at the site.
6.深川万年橋下(ふかがわまんねんばしした)
深川は現在の東京都江東区、万年橋は小名木川と隅田川が合流する場所にあります。万年橋は、人の往来が多く賑わいがあったそうです。
6.Fukagawa Mannenbashi Bridge
Fukagawa is located in present-day Koto Ward, Tokyo, and Mannenbashi is located at the confluence of the Onagigawa River and the Sumida River. Mannenbashi Bridge is said to have been bustling with a lot of people coming and going.
7.五百らかん寺さゞゐどう(ごひゃくらかんじさざえどう)
江東区大島にあった五百らかん寺。五百らかん寺は黄檗宗の寺院であり、現在は東京都目黒区に移転しています。寺院の外観や周囲の風景が描かれています。
7.Gohyakurakanji Sazaido
Gohyakurakanji Temple was located in Oshima, Koto Ward. Gohyakurakan-ji Temple is a temple of the Obaku sect, and is currently relocated to Meguro-ku, Tokyo. The exterior of the temple and the surrounding landscape are depicted.
8.青山円座松(あおやまえんざまつ)
東京都渋谷区神宮前の龍巌寺にあった円座松と富士山を描写しています。円座松は青山の中腹に立つ松の木で、その姿勢がまるで円座のように見えることから名付けられました。松葉の中で掃除する人々や酒宴を楽しむ人々の姿も描かれています。
8.Aoyama Enzamatsu
It depicts the Enza pine tree and Mt. Fuji at Ryugan-ji Temple in Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Enzamatsu is a pine tree that stands halfway up Mt. Aoyama, and it was named because its posture resembles that of a zenza. It also depicts people cleaning among pine needles and people enjoying drinking parties.
