42.Koshu misakasuimen
This painting depicts the view of Lake Kawaguchi from Misaka Pass on the Koshu Kaido Highway in Yamanashi Prefecture.The image of Fuji reflected in the surface of the lake is called 'Upside Down Fuji' and is one of Hokusai's most popular paintings. Koshu Misaka Suimen is a great place to view Mt. Fuji and was popular with travelers at the time.

43.甲州伊沢暁(こうしゅういさわのあかつき)

当時の石和は甲州街道の宿場で、宿場から見える富士山が描かれています。作品の時刻は早朝で、宿内では暗いうちから出立する人々の慌ただしい様子が伺えます。

信州の諏訪湖から富士山を望む風景です。信州側から見た富士山は「裏不二」と呼ばれます。画面左側、広々とした諏訪湖を越えて見えるお城は高島城です。
