Kondo Shuzo Co., Ltd., located in Midori City, Gunma Prefecture, was established in 1875 under the name “Tanakaya.” Leveraging the pristine groundwater from the slopes of Mount Akagi, the brewery remains committed to a philosophy of “only crisp, dry sake.” Its flagship brand, “Akagisan,” is prized for its clean taste and capacity to accompany any meal. In recent years, Kondo Shuzo has embraced innovation—such as the installation of a centrifugal separation system—while honoring its historic brewing traditions.
