Daiichi Shuzo Co., Ltd., founded in 1673 in Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture, is known as the oldest sake brewery in the prefecture. Operating under the motto “Quality First,” the brewery emphasizes the careful management of sake rice, water sources, and artisanal brewing methods. Since 1998, all its products have been produced as Tokutei Meishō-shu (premium designations). Its flagship label, “Kaika”, is celebrated for its elegant aroma and harmonious body—delivering both sophistication and approachability. The brewery also cultivates its own rice in private fields, highlighting its commitment to terroir-driven sake.
