Takamine Shuzo Co., Ltd., founded in 1949 in Ishigaki City, Okinawa Prefecture, is a historic Awamori distillery with over 70 years of tradition. Using natural spring water from the Omoto Mountain Range—the highest peak in Okinawa—and adhering to traditional direct-fire distillation using "Jigama" pots, the distillery focuses on extracting the bold flavor and sweetness of the rice. Its flagship brand, “Omoto,” is celebrated for its rich, mellow aroma and crisp, refreshing finish, embodying the lush nature of Ishigaki Island.
