水口の名物である干瓢作りが描かれています。ウリ科の植物、瓢箪（ひょうたん）の実を乾燥させ、加工したものです。画中には特製の刃物で干瓢を捌いている様子も見えます。水口名物の干瓢は、その形状と風味が人気でした。
