【大磯 虎ヶ雨】
相模国（神奈川県）の宿場、大磯。海辺をゆく旅人と、静かに降りしきる雨が描かれています。この雨は、日本三大仇討ちの一つ「曾我物語」のヒロイン・虎御前が流した涙が雨に変わったという伝説にちなみ「虎ヶ雨」と呼ばれます。斜めに引かれた雨の線と、背景のぼかしが絶妙な調和を見せ、静かな哀愁を漂わせる名作です。
