「興津川」静岡県静岡市
興津は、静岡県浜松市天竜区に位置する宿場です。興津川の清流を利用した水運や船運が盛んであり、物資の輸送や交易が行われていました。興津宿の東を流れる興津川を駕籠に乗って渡る人と、馬に乗る力士の旅姿が描かれています。
"Okitsu River"
Okitsu is a post station located in Tenryu Ward, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Water transportation and shipping using the clear waters of the Okitsu River were popular, and goods were transported and traded. It depicts a person riding a palanquin and a sumo wrestler riding a horse as they cross the Okitsu River, which flows east of Okitsu-juku.
