「熱田神事」愛知県名古屋市熱田区
宮とは名古屋市内の熱田神宮を指しています。馬の塔と呼ばれる神事の様子が描かれています。藍染めの半纏の一群と、赤い有松絞の半纏の一群が、馬を走らせ競っています。熱田神宮は三種の神器草薙剣が祀られていることで有名です。
"Atsuta Shinto Ritual"
Miya refers to Atsuta Shrine in Nagoya city. It depicts a ritual called the Horse Tower. A group of indigo-dyed hanten and a group of red Arimatsu-shibori hanten are running their horses and competing. Atsuta Shrine is famous for enshrining the three sacred Kusanagi swords.
