【甲州犬目峠】
甲斐国（山梨県）の上野原付近にある犬目峠。甲州街道の難所の一つですが、北斎はここを非常に晴れやかで開放的な風景として描き出しました。なだらかに広がる富士の稜線と、峠道を黙々と進む馬や旅人たちの姿。画面の大部分を占める空と山の余白が、旅の途上にある清々しい空気感を伝えてくれる、心洗われるような一枚です。
